SSGT is an Employment Services organisation that identifies recruits and employs individuals for Australian Apprenticeships (apprenticeships and traineeships) across a broad range of industries, specialising in the construction industry.
SSGT provides workforce solutions to Employers by placing the individuals to complete their Australian Apprenticeship qualifications with suitable companies that have job vacancies for apprentices and / or trainees that we call Host Employers.

SSGT is a well established Group Training Organisation (GTO) located in metropolitan Melbourne . SSGT have been employing apprentices/trainees since 1987 and is an original member of the Group Training Australia National Network of independent not for profit community based companies.
Group Training Organisations are the largest employer of apprentices and trainees in Australia , providing employment for in excess of 8,500 apprentices and trainees in Victoria alone.
The SSGT daily service delivery is delivered by a group of professional effective friendly staff, overseen by an experienced General Manager and governed by a Board of Directors that is made up of voluntary community focused individuals from business and industry backgrounds.
SSGT is a nationally recognised Quality GTO meeting the national standards associated with the delivery of high level customer service and ethical good business practices. SSGT has a proud history of providing quality employer services and creating career pathway opportunities through employment and training in the community.
SSGT has extensive experience and networks in the Vocational Education, Employment and Training industry. Our recruitment and employment services are tried and tested whilst regularly revisited to review and improve our ability to attract and secure the best possible job candidates and host employer placements for our clients.
A professional SSGT Work Placement Officer provides ongoing support to the host employer and apprentice / trainee by completing the entire recruitment, selection and interview process, mentoring and monitoring the performance of the apprentice / trainee, handling all associated paperwork, advising on human resource and industrial relation matters, including mediation and organising the return and rotation of apprentices / trainees when necessary.
SSGT Australian Apprenticeship job vacancies are available to all individuals looking for work. As a GTO our service delivery is particularly effective in assisting with the transition of young people from secondary school or other pre employment programs to work.
Australian Apprentices employed by SSGT can gain experience in a variety of workplaces throughout the training period or have one placement for the entire duration of the qualification. The GTO employment model has been tested and statistically proven to increase the likelihood of successfully completing an Australian Apprenticeship.
